This scholarship will honor the memories, lives, and artistic contributions of dancers and staff of the Dallas Ballet that have passed. The annual scholarship will be awarded to a young dancer between the ages of 14-21, that demonstrates the qualities it takes to pursue a career in classical ballet.Like the other scholarships awarded by the DCNT, 100% of the scholarship will go to the dancer. The awardee will be chosen by an outside panel of professionals, with the intent being the dancer use the financial award for expenses related to a summer intensive at least 100 miles from their home studio. The scholarship will be awarded annually, as funds allow.If you would like to honor the memory of Sheila Applewhite, Melanie Armstrong, Bryan Pitts, Laura Pitts, Kent Whites, or others, this is the place to do so. Provides financial support of $500 to study tap at a summer program, such as 3rd Coast Rhythm Project in San Antonio, Soul 2 Sole in Austin, or Chicago Human Rhythm Project in Chicago

Provides financial support of $1000 to be used to further the study of modern dance technique & choreography for either 1) a graduating high school senior who will major in dance at a college of the level of Juilliard, or 2) further study at a summer program such as Juilliard, Alvin Ailey, Bates, etc. "Given in loving memory of Charles. A ballet scholarship has been established in honor of Natalie Skelton, a Dance Council founder, who passed away December 7, 2008.

Gives $800 to a ballet dancer for summer study in classical ballet. The endowed scholarship is provided by the estate of "Natasha" Krassovska, prima ballerina of Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo and Artistic Director of Ballet Jeunesse.

Provides financial support of $500 to study tap at a summer program, such as 3rd Coast Rhythm Project in San Antonio, Soul 2 Sole in Austin, or Chicago Human Rhythm Project in Chicago.

Provides financial support of $900 to assist a black dancer to continue his or her studies in any technique or style at any dance institution, academy or studio. The recipient will also perform as Guest Artist at the South Dallas Dance Festival in November. This scholarship is provided by Arga Nova Dance
