Ballet Papillon is delighted to present Breathless: Wings of Beauty, the premiere performance production of the 2024-2025 season. Our exceptional coterie of artists have ceaselessly endeavored to create an awe-inspiring experience that sweeps the audience into a world of vivid emotions, alluring articulations, and sensational movements. This production is deeply inspired by the desire to empower artists to use ballet as a means to cultivate healing, harmony, and enthusiasm for the art of ballet. September 20. TITAS/DANCE UNBOUND Presents Twyla Tharp Dance. Revolutionary choreographer Twyla Tharp returns to TITAS celebrating her 60th anniversary with a boundary-breaking program featuring a dynamic revival and two new pieces. Ocean’s Motion (1975) featuring music by rock and roll pioneer Chuck Berry, and Brel  is an homage to the Belgian vocalist Jacques Brel. Composer Simeon ten Holt’s signature minimalist style in Bi-Ba-Bo intermingles with Vivaldi’s Baroque score in masterful new work The Ballet Master. 8:00PM

September 26 - 28. Cara Mia Theater presents Ghostly Labor. Featuring an all-female dance company La Mezcla (San Francisco, California) , spoken word, traditional Son Jarocho music from Veracruz, and an Afro-Latinx percussive score, Ghostly Labor is a multidisciplinary performance that vividly explores the history of labor in the US-Mexico borderlands through Tap Dance, Mexican Zapateado, and Afro Caribbean movement. This full-length dance theater production celebrates the joy of collective resistance and generations of unseen labor. September 28 & 29. Ballet Frontier presents Don Quixote. Ballet's quintessential romantic comedy, Don Quixote, follows the hilarious story based on the novel of the same title by Miguel Cervantes. The ballet takes excerpts from the book and tells the story of Basilio and his beloved, Kitri. This ballet features a beautiful Spanish setting, music by Minkus, and brand new choreography from artistic director Chung Lin Tseng and University of Utah professor Jay Kim.
