May 9 - 10. Eastfield College
presents the 2019 Fall Dance Concert will feature new, original works from Artists-in-Residence Colby Calhoun (EFC Alum and Company Member with the Danielle Georgiou Dance Group), Jamie Perrin (freelance choreographer), and Martheya Nygaard (EFC Dance Faculty). Faculty Member Danielle Georgiou will also be creating a original work in collaboration with visual artist Ian McMahon. Inspired by McMahon's inflatable sculpture created during a residency at Eastfield College with 3-D design students, Georgiou will be constructing a movement work for the Eastfield Dance Company that responds to the sculpture. May 10 - 11. Bloom presented by Ballet Dallas.
Join us Mother's Day weekend as Ballet Dallas closes the 2018-2019 season. This program will premiere works by Durante Verzola and Carter Alexander.  Durante, formerly with Suzanne Farrell Ballet, is busy working as a choreographer throughout the United States.  Co-Artistic Director Carter Alexander will restage Sarabande with live music and create a new work to the music of Darius Milhaud. We are also excited to present Romantic Encounters by the original Dallas Ballet's Artistic Director, George Skibine. Mr. Skibine's work will be re-staged by Thom Clower, former dancer and Artistic Director of the original Ballet Dallas. May 10 - 11. 8:00pm. presents A Ballet Journey to Fantastic Lands. Come journey with Youth Ballet of Texas into literary fantasy of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland and the Russian folktale, Firebird. May 17 - 19. Spring Celebration presented by Dallas Black Dance Theatre. Featuring the mesmerizing aerial duet "What to Say: Notes on Echo and Narcissus" by Jamal Story, dance supervisor for Cher and SMU alumnus.
