Rachel Hutsell 14 ~ Miss Miriam Widman Rowley Memorial Scholarship

Rachel began her dance training under the direction of Catriona Steel at Allergro West Academy of Dance. She has studied ballet, modern, jazz and contemporary dance,but her primary focus is ballet. While at Allegro West, Rachel has had the opportunity to perform with the Ballet Ensemble of Katy in various performances around the country. She has also received scholarships for Summer Intensive programs to Pacific Northwest Ballet School, School of American Ballet, Miami City Ballet School, Orlando Ballet School, and Accademia Inernazionale Coreutica in Florence, Italy.

This summer Rachel is studying on scholarship at the Gelsey Kirkland Academy of Classical Ballet and at the School of American Ballet. She would eventually like to train full time at a ballet school with aspirations of becoming a professional ballerina.
