She has been a part of many performances such as; CATS and Grease, which have premiered at the Eisemann Center in Richardson, Texas, as well as performances that have been seen at the Montgomery Arts Theatre, such as excerpts from Dwight Rhoden’s “Mercy”. Alex was involved in a local dance company for 14 years, where she trained with numerous master teachers with a variety of genres from contemporary and ballet to jazz and hip hop. In previous summers, Alex has trained with programs of Complexions Contemporary Ballet Company as well as Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet Company, and has attended several dance intensives such as CAMP, where she had the opportunity to work with choreographers from both the East and West coasts, diversifying her dance abilities. She has been a part of BTWHSPA’s Repertory companies for the past two years.
Alex has many goals as a dancer. She aims to achieve a greater level of dance at all times by embracing all knowledge and advice that is given to her. She also strives to be an individual who can, one day, inspire others in the industry just as she has been inspired and influenced by other dancers in the industry. Alex also hopes to achieve her goal to work with a professional company after she has finished with school. She is a continuous learner and is constantly determined to gain more knowledge about this art that she has fallen in love with, and will continue to stay focused and motivated to achieve her ambitions.
