Taylor Boyland 16 ~ South Dallas Dance Festival Scholarship
Taylor Boyland is a student at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts where she studies Modern dance and Ballet along with her academic subjects. She also takes jazz, ballet, pointe, tap and contemporary classes at Dance Continuum Dance Studio in Hurst, Texas where she started taking dance classes when she was 3 years old.
Taylor's dance goals are to improve her movement quality and grow in modern dance. Her life goals are to stay focused at all times & to never give up.

My experience at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre was incredible. During the six week intensive in New York City, I took a variety of classes, and worked with extremely talented teachers and choreographers. Throughout this experience I could feel myself changing in more ways than one. I feel that my movement quality has gotten a lot more diverse and more grounded. I really appreciate the Dance Council giving me this amazing opportunity.
